Oak is Keeping has been nominated to compete in Airwalk's anual Unsigned Hero - Road to Austin band competition! Hundreds of bands entered, and we were one of only 10 band chosen for the finals. This is very exciting! If we win, we get an all expenses paid trip to Austin, TX (HAHAHA) to play not one, but two shows at Stubbs for the SPIN magazine stage at SXSW 2010, plus we get a big wad of cash, and a bunch of other stuff. Airwalk even sent a video crew out for a couple days to film a little promo documentary about us, so check it out by clicking on the Airwalk banner above. Voting ended on September 30th, and we would like to give a super special thanks to all of you who voted for us every day. Airwalk and SPIN will announce the winner October 15th, so stayed tuned to find out if we are winners. We busted our asses (and spent a fortune on performance based online advertising :)), and from everything Airwalk has told us so far, we think we have a really good shot at finishing in 1st place!
